Blue dream

Blue dream strain is an hybrid indica dominant resulting from the mix between Blueberry and Purple Haze. It was originated in the US. Its THC level can get up to 24%. According to some users, Blue Dream induces a happy, uplifted and euphoric cerebral high and prolonged pain relief without heavy sedation. The flowering time for Blue dream is around 10 weeks for indoor systems or late September to early October for outdoor set-ups.

M-39

This hybrid is an indica dominant strain that is the result of a mix between of Northern Lights #5 and Skunk #1. Sometimes, it’s also identified as Beasters. According to some records, this strain was made in Canada in the early 90’s, having been exported to the United States by biker gangs. Its THC level can get up to 16.5%. M-39 has been awarded several times, in 2013 it was in the Top 10 Canadian Strains of All Time published by High Times Magazine. It’s reported to induce strong cerebral euphoria followed by body relaxation and sedation. According to some users, it has a fruity and lemon taste. Jack Herer

Sativa dominant strain that was created by combining a Haze hybrid with a cross between Northern Lights # 5 and Shiva Skunk. It’s reported to be originated in the Netherlands during 90’s. It owes its name to Jack Herer, the most important defender of hemp and the activist in favor of the decriminalization of cannabis. Some recommend using it during the morning, its energetic qualities are appropriate to feel active or exercise. It’s widely identified by it pine aroma.  

Island Sweet Skunk

This sativa dominant strain is also known as Sweet Island Skunk or ISS. It’s identified a descendant of Sweet Pink Grapefruit and Big Skunk #1. Originally bred in Vancouver, Canada by Federation Seeds. Its THC level can get up to 19%. As expected from a Skunk descendant is really dense, meaning what may look like a small quantity turns into more than expected once broken up. According to some users it helps with pain, depression and stress. For medical use, it’s recommended to use it during daytime.  

God Bud

This hybrid is an indica dominant  strain resulting from the mix of Hawaiian, Purple Skunk, and the Canadian strain known only as “God”. Users might get hallucinogenic effects. This strain is recommended to fight for insomnia as well as depression and has even proven to be an effective appetite stimulant. It emits an earthy pine aroma, and leaves a sweet aftertaste. Its THC level is between 18%-19%. It’s recommended to consume it right before dinner, to satisfy any cravings before slipping into a peaceful, relaxed rest. God Bud received the award for the best Indica in the High Times Cannabis Cup of 2004. If it is grown indoors, it can reach 90cm, which makes it ideal for small and discrete indoor cannabis crops.  

Chemo

This pure Indica strain also is identified as “UBC Chemo” in reference to the university in which Chemo is said to have been conceived. According to some records, it was developed by a Dr. David Suzuki at the University of British Columbia in the late 60s to 70s. Dr. Suzuki is said to have developed it to help cancer patients with the detrimental side-effects of chemotherapy. Its THC level can get up to 29%, so beginners are recommended to be careful. It’s also reported to help with: nausea, appetite loss, pain, and sleeplessness. Chemo strain is identified by its wood aroma.

Jean Guy

Sativa dominant whose origins are considered mysterious, some think that Jean Guy may be a variant of White Widow, while others believe it to be a cross of White Widow with Skunk. What we really know is its THC level can get up to 25% and it was bred by the House of the Great Gardener in Quebec. It’s reported to be used to assist in the alleviation for those suffering Fibromyalgia, Multiple Sclerosis, and cancer symptoms.  

Love Potion #1

Sativa dominant hybrid strain resulting from the mix between G13 and a Colombian Gold It’s reported to be a strong aphrodisiac in right set and setting. Its THC level are between 8% and 18%. According to me users, it smells of lemon, skunk and spices Love Portion #1 won as Best Sativa in the 2004 High Times Cannabis Cup.  

Romulan

Officially classified as 100% indica strain whose exact origins and lineage are unknown; the origin of its name come from when people began joking that this strain could “dent your head” and create ridges like the warrior race from Star Trek.
